Project Description
Quartz have recently completed the Electrical & Mechanical services on a Design & Build project for South Tyneside Council and South Tyneside Crematorium. This consisted of a refurbishment and a new extension of the Chapel to allow additional capacity for services and ability to split the chapel to smaller services and Surrounding Communal Entrance lobbies and waiting room.
Works include full re-wire and Switchboard upgrade, New Lighting and Power in the chapel and refurbished areas, and installation of a New Obitus interactive Funeral Service Tribute system on dedicated screens capable of live streaming services. Also included was the Fire Alarm alteration, intruder. We also added a new PV system to the new extension roof to provide client more energy savings on the building extending the existing system.
On the mechanical services we extended the existing heating system to install new radiators in the new extension and installation of new overdoor air curtain in the entrance lobby.
About the client
The chapel seats approx. 200, with capacity for 30 standing in the foyer.
